After seeing so many beautiful portraits on Pioneer Woman's photography site, I decided to attempt spot metering and see what I could do. And you know what?..it's pretty cool! I was able to take pictures in full sun and not have faces in shadow. Lovin it!

I just started spot metering as well. I LIKE IT. I don't have to fix the exposure on all my pics on the computer like I used to. AND I don't mind blowing out the whites in the background a bit, even though your technically not supposed to. who cares? btw- I love that you went to the beach on Thanksgiving. Sounds perfect.
